I grew up as a curious child in the small town of Brinkley Arkansas where I was very active in the community as well as in the Church.
Upon high school graduation I continued my education at the University of Central Arkansas desiring a degree in law, but the Lord or just my will had other plans.
In 1985 I moved to Jonesboro, AR with the love of my life Alon Kendall, and we began our professional careers as well as the adventures of married life, with almost forty years of the wonderful experience of matrimony.
Having worked with the Department of Human Services for over thirty years, I continued to come across a challenging concern for me; and that was to see so many minority women who were entering the workforce later in life and were just ill equipped to deal with the process. By “process” I mean, the basic interview, not to answer a question “yes” and “no” they did not know how to sell themselves.
They did not know how to dress appropriately, and if they were hired,
they did not know how to handle taking instructions from a supervisor,
they would often become offended.
These are some of the women that are living on the brink. The “brink” are women who due to some circumstance have to enter the workforce later in life or have to work jobs with no benefits, or job
security. These are the women that I have chosen to work with and to
help.

Born the daughter of a pastor and Sunday School teacher she saw love in action through her parents. This compelled her to pursue a nursing career that demonstrated
compassion to patients from all walks of life.
It is her belief that one's occupation in the natural often mirrors their spiritual calling. As Jesus was a carpenter by trade but called to be the master builder.
Felecia worked as a labor and delivery nurse over 16 years. This training was used to help her nurture and help those women who labored in the spirit.
She later worked as a Chaplain and House
Supervisor in a Rehabilitation Hospital for over 15 years. During this time she was allowed to minister to those who needed to be encouraged, motivated, and strengthened.
Mrs. Parks served as a board member of numerous organizations for over a decade.
She believes that those unique experiences worked together to equip her for this opportunity to show her faith by her works.
