We are a CHRISTIAN FAITH based organization geared toward minority women living on the brink. By living on the brink we mean women who may for reasons within their control or beyond their control find themselves not able to focus on the day-to-day activities of life.
These activities may include: coping with child rearing, working or finding a job, or finding a job with benefits. Most of the women we will be focused on impacting will be minority women who are middle aged and now find themselves having to enter the workforce, ill equipped, unprepared, unrealistic and clueless. They may have been on government assistance, (which in and of itself is not a bad thing) and now they may no longer qualify.
With these new circumstances, they now find that they need to pay their own rent or buy their own groceries these as examples of things they may not have had to worry about so intensely. Now how will they do that? They have no real work history and if they do it is sketchy to say the least. If they have worked they may not be reasonable in their interactions with a supervisor. They often find themselves feeling easily offended, maybe due to age differences or that they have been in a harsh situation most of their lives.
These are the women we will focus our energies on; to help them to grow and base their growth on Biblical standards. We want them to know without a doubt that JESUS loves them in spite of what they may have done in order to survive. Or things that they just chose of their own free will to participate in.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…”
(Jeremiah 29:12 NIV).
We will sub-contract through local clinical psychologists and therapists to develop appropriate training plans for women that are identified through our pre-screening process to assist them with minor behavior issues. We will also have on-site social training skills conducted by educators with an emphasis on Biblical structures.
These program are free to the public as well as the professional attire that will be presented to the women upon completion of the program. For each woman, the training program is expected to be completed in six weeks except for weekends and holidays and other appointed days as dictated by The Warrior Center.
